Demian Costa from Plank Industries, Jeff Cherry from the Conscious Venture Lab and Mike Scott from Equity Matters are co-hosting this one day design thinking / brainstorming session to investigate innovative ways to bring the youth of Balimore into the entrpreneurial ecosystem.
Considering the recent unrest in Baltimore City, we've started to think more deepy how those of us in business, entrepreneruship training, finance and the not-for-profit sector can come together to address some of the foundational economic issues that may have contributed to these events.
We’re bringing together like-minded organizations, companies and concerned citizens like Wes Moore, Whole Foods Market, The Aspen Institute Center for Urban Innovation, The Center for Social Value Creation at UMD and MICA to consider how we can impact the economic future of the youth of our city. Working from a new narrative of how business can elevate the humanity of everyone in our community we hope to develop new programs (and support existing ones) focused on youth entrepreneurship.
This exploratory Working Group kicks off on July 22nd, and you're invited to take part join us and help create the future. Under Armour Inc. is our meeting spot for a day of intellectual exploration, fun and excitement.
